Walsall FC have published their Fan Engagement Plan for the 2025/26 season, setting out how they’ll communicate with supporters and act on feedback in the year ahead.

There’s plenty in this plan we welcome.

There’s also still work to do.

As a Supporters’ Trust, we’ve always aimed to be a critical friend to the club — supportive of good ideas, honest when things fall short, and focused on representing fans fairly and constructively. This plan reflects some of the improvements we’ve advocated for behind the scenes and in open forums.

Progress We Support

  • Fan Focus Groups continuing with published minutes and senior staff attendance
  • A new “You Said / We Did” platform — long overdue and genuinely welcome
  • Matchday Drop-In Clinics to give supporters face-to-face access to decision-makers
  • Quarterly leadership updates to improve communication and transparency
  • Inclusive initiatives like Saddlers United, recognising the need to reach more of our town’s communities

These are positive steps. But we’d also note: the club still doesn’t have a formal Fan Advisory Board, despite that being part of wider recommendations across the EFL. The structures that are in place rely on goodwill and informal trust — not shared decision-making.

That’s why it remains vital that supporters have independent representation — and that when we are consulted, it’s meaningful, not symbolic.

🙋 Why Join the Trust?

We don’t shout for the sake of it.

We don’t claim wins that aren’t ours.

But we are in the room, we are representing your interests, and we are often the ones following up when things go quiet.

If you want Walsall FC to remain a club where supporters matter — not just in words but in decisions — then being part of the Trust strengthens that.

👉 Join the Trust today – £5.00 for the season.

Because quiet influence still matters.
